We stayed in Holbrook which is only a 20 minute drive from Petrified Forest.   Once we got there, it took about five hours or more driving thru and stopping to take pictures. 

We met some people from Hong Kong -- actually they lived in Hong Kong, but the husband was from England.   They were interested in our RV -- they rented one that was too big for them to handle and they wanted something more like ours which is very road worthy.

Archie took lots of pictures and he considered it “breath taking”.   He was thinking the Grand Canyon better be good as he loved the Petrified Forest.
