Leavenworth, Washington is a Bavarian town in design and you can forget that you are in Washington. The town is nestled in the Cascade Mountains and very unique. We ate German sausage too.
Michael and Theaux camped with us at “Eight Mile Campground” in the Winatchee National Forest (elevation 1,900 ft) which is also bear country -- we had a good time. There was a nice river running by. The four of us even played miniature golf which looked like a real golf course in the town of Leavenworth. The last hole allows you to leave the golf course by walking behind a waterfall. It was a beautiful course.
